This was my favorite pawn shop until yesterday. I had pawned my ring. It was due August 23rd. I was late but I called this last Tuesday and the chick told me it was fine for me to come get it on Friday. Friday comes and I call to get the total to get out of atm. I called once dude said he didn’t see it. I thought I called the wrong place. Then I remembered it was definitely at the Hefner store. I called back and got a chick who literally said to me she didn’t have the pawn, had no pawns for me, and had I tried cash America or do I have the pawn ticket. I said can you look harder it’s there. She said no. I thought I gotta be calling the wrong number. I go to the store and get a guy who says he sees the pawn but the owner took my ring. Funny thing is the 30 day grace period was up Friday .but I wouldn’t gotten it on Tues if they hadn’t said it was ok for me to get it on Friday. If we take out the fact that I spoke to them Tuesday they would be within their rights. My issue is they were all rude af, unprofessional ,and they lied to me. I feel like it was all done purposely cause why else not honor the arrangement their employee agreed to? Why did they jerk me around? Im obviously broke considering I pawned my ring. They wasted my time and my gas. They couldn’t have given me a call. I assume someone who works there wanted the ring and when I called on Tues they were alerted I was coming. I’m super nice.. it’s not like I lost my mind on them. Of course I’m just sol and I’m really upset about it. I asked for contact info for complaints or corp something and was told they didn’t have a corp office. The guy I dealt with in person was the complaint department. I’ve actually been to this place a lot. I actually bought the ring from them! They’ve always been cool. I’ll go hungry before I return.
