It has been a minute since my last post, (work, work, work) but I wanted to touch on something that I mentioned before. Let’s talk sight radius as it relates to sight alignment error. here is a chart I did a few years ago that may help explain this sight radius and how it can affect accuracy. Hope that helps.

Thus far we have talked about the two fundamentals required to produce one single good shot.

Next, we will discuss the other fundamentals, all of which help us to repeat good shots and eventually get us to multiple rapid fire strings of shots, like double taps and anti-body armor engagements.

We are discussing the two fundamentals required to make one good shot. I have explained my reasons behind (Feeding the Baby) the muscle memory trigger control. So now let’s focus on sight alignment.

There are as many sight systems out there as there are firearms, but they all do the same thing….and it’s probably not what you think.

Let me jump in here and say, I live totally off grid in Northern Arizona. So on days like today (very heavy clouds) I don’t make much power. When I started competitive shooting as a “pick-up shooter” with the Army Shooting Team in 1987 I was given a paperback booklet about 100 pages thick that looked like it was printed on an industrial copy machine. It had a cover of blue heavy card stock and had heavy staples as binding.

I’m new to this site. My wife and I live Northern Arizona on a mountaintop Northwest of Seligman. My home built AR10 is my “Go to” firearms up here. The wife enjoys it too. Good to be here.

But, I have to admit, my favorite guns belong to my wife.
